Integrating Children's Literature with Science

Most of the schools encourages Reading and Writing by including them in their curriculum. This has enabled the students to improve their vocabulary and prove sound in their academic career. Also, in most academic classes, the teacher only assigns reading in the text books. Because science is one of the more technical classes, science teachers tend to be very wedded to their textbooks. In order for children to improve reading and writing skills, even science teachers must start integrating children's literature with science. Tags: Integrating Childrens Literature With Science

If you are selecting books for a baby shower, you might want to buy some very elementary picture books and some books that are for toddlers who can listen to a longer story. Even if you miss the mark here, the new mother can put the book on the shelf until the baby is old enough to appreciate it. Even reading to newborns has proven effective in helping children to become readers. Tags: Choosing Childrens Literature

Even if the white and black children are illustrated as being close to one another, there is little to no interaction between the races. The Black children seem to be nothing more than window dressing to make the book seem to be interracial when the story is anything but. Tags: Very Little Childrens Literature Written About
